Joseph and Harris’ surprise proposal at the Cliff House was amazing!! These two have been together for a while and now share a beautiful blended family—so it’s no surprise that Joseph wanted this moment to be absolutely perfect. He was so nervous, though, that when he knelt down to propose, he almost dropped the ring into the ocean. Luckily, it all went just right! I love that he bought a ring for each of them to wear, too. Fantastic idea.
When Harris realized what was happening, his shock quickly turned into an emotional outpouring—it was so touching to witness. I don’t think there was a dry eye on the cliffs that day, especially with all their friends there cheering (and crying!) right along with them. You could feel how loved and supported they are.
Shooting at the Cliff House is always a dream, and what I love most is how the cliffs change every year. It gives me the chance to create completely unique images for each couple—no two sessions look the same. The views are always breathtaking, and this proposal felt like something out of a movie, with the crashing waves, golden light, and raw emotion of the moment. I highly recommend the Cliff House for a proposal, engagement, and/or wedding!
