When the Speer family reached out about booking a photo session during their vacation in Bar Harbor, they were hoping to capture some special memories of their trip. What we didn’t count on, however, was just how foggy the day would be! But instead of worrying about the weather, we embraced it—and I have to say, the mist rolling in off the water gave the entire session such a dreamy, ethereal feel.
The Speers were such a joy to photograph, laughing and playing together as we explored the shoreline. The fog softened everything around us, making the session feel even more intimate and timeless.
After delivering their gallery, I got a message from them saying how much they loved the photos. But the best part? They fell in love with one image so much that they had it framed, and now it hangs above their living room couch. Seeing the photo they sent me of their new wall art was the perfect reminder of why I love what I do—capturing moments that become part of a family’s story, not just for now, but for years to come.
Bar Harbor gave us a little unexpected magic that day, and I’m so glad we got to turn it into something they’ll cherish forever.

They loved this photo so much they had it framed for their home!
