Watching a family grow over the years is one of the most rewarding parts of being a photographer. I first met Jen and Justin for their engagement session, then their wedding, and later captured the excitement of their pregnancy. I’ve also been there for the bittersweet moments—photographing Jen with her beloved dog Todd before they had to say goodbye. Now, I had the joy of photographing them as a family, celebrating this new chapter in their lives.
One of the sweetest moments from their session was seeing their daughter wearing a special hat that once belonged to Jen when she was a child. It was a meaningful piece of their family’s history, passed down from mother to daughter. It was really sweet seeing her hand it down to her daughter.
This session was filled with laughter, cuddles, and so much love. Capturing these moments—both big and small—reminds me why I love what I do. I’m so grateful to continue documenting the Miller family’s journey, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for them!
