Sarah + Brian’s Saddleback Mountain Wedding

Sarah and Brian are the definition of a fun and adventurous couple, especially Sarah as she is an adventurer at her core. She loves to hike and gained influencer status on social media when she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro! Brian was impressed with Sarah the first time he met her, and very early in their relationship, she asked him to join her on an adventure. He took a chance and said yes, and they’ve been together ever since. It made total sense for them to get married on top of a mountain, symbolizing their shared love for the outdoors.

A Maine Mountain Wedding

Saddleback Mountain provided a breathtaking backdrop for Sarah and Brian’s wedding. The day started with everyone getting ready. The girls enjoyed champagne while the guys had their scotch. Sarah looked stunning in her wedding dress, and her something old and blue was a ring from her late grandmother. From there, we hiked up the mountain for first looks and wedding party photos. Saddleback is one of my absolute favorite mountains to hike. The summit offers almost 360-degree views, and an adjoining mountain means you can knock two of the 4000-footers off your hiking list in one day if you plan it right. They incorporated their hiking and mountain theme throughout the wedding, which I thought was super cool!

Saddleback Mountain Ceremony

Once we got all the photos on top of the mountain, we started to prepare for the ceremony. The mountain views during the ceremony were awesome—truly a quintessential Maine wedding! The arbor they were married in front of was shaped like two mountains, and they were married by a family friend, Rachel. The setting was perfect for their adventurous spirits and love for nature. It was a sight to see Sarah and Brain in front of all their loved ones!

Celebrating Love at New Heights

After the couple said their “I do’s” everyone made their way down the mountain to the reception. Their reception tables were named after the mountains they’ve hiked, and even their cake topper resembled trail markers. The reception setup perfectly matched their personalities and theme. We created some unique photos of Sarah and Brian alone before their guests entered the building, including one striking black-and-white photo featuring their silhouettes made out of tree branches. The night continued with a choreographed first dance that included lifts, and at one point, Sarah even fell backward into Brian’s arms. We also made sure to take full advantage of the amazing sunset and then finished with champagne pop photos. Sarah and Brian’s wedding was a blast to photograph and I wish nothing but the best for this amazing couple! I definitely recommend getting married on a mountain in Maine!
